A woman was stabbed to death inside of a home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Police were summoned to the scene of a deadly stabbing that occurred on Arlington Avenue on Thursday just before 7 p.m., according to Pittsburgh Public Safety. The officials stated that they were contacted when family members discovered a woman who was unresponsive inside of her home and found her there. According to the officials, she suffered numerous stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime.
“Family members who hadn’t heard from her in some time arrived to the residence, and they were the ones who discovered her inside and phoned police,” Cara Cruz of Pittsburgh Public Safety said. “They were the ones who located her inside and called police.” Tarae Washington was determined to be the victim after some time had passed. On Friday, a warrant was issued for the arrest of William L. Fitzgerald, who is 50 years old. He is being investigated for criminal homicide.
KDKA-TV was told by a neighbor who lives across the street that a woman and her husband reside at the residence and that the neighbor heard the woman screaming. She also mentioned that she heard family members come from the backyard shouting things like “He stabbed her” and that the victim’s father stated something along the lines of “He killed my daughter.”
