It’s your foresight for me.
The only thing Black folks own in its purest form is Black culture…and yet they leave the gate open for D’wights to skip thru and dilute.
You can almost smell the charcoal on the grill.

We lost a good brother in the reggae community.
Carlos Culture was the first to give us a shot to break into the legendary San Diego reggae scene with a number of tour stops at Winston’s in San Diego (OB).

Carlos “Culture” Torres – What a legend!
Carlos was a music guru, a father, husband, mentor, promoter, DJ, lover of the people and a fighter for reggae music for the people. For over a decade he helped make Ocean Beach a hub for reggae music nationwide. His tenor over a few decades included residencies and shifts at all the major music venues in San Diego and regional music festivals all over. He provided an outlet for touring bands and solo artists alike.
The thing about Carlos that we will always take with us was his smile. Smiling is contagious and he knew it from the bottom of his heart. His love for music and the people will always be remembered. His love for his daughters was genuine.
Please help share this GOFUNDME so the world can help his family heal and raise funds for Sequoia, Coral and Tanya. The greatest gift you could give is sharing his story. Blessings!
