On the anniversary of Charleena Lyles’ tragic death, it is a reminder that as a community, we failed her and her family. On this anniversary, the City and national consciousness has become more aware to police violence and systemic racism that pervades every aspect of society.

Lot of words to tell us all how much the City of Seattle failed Charleena Lyles. Got some words to hold police officers accountable for her death too, @MayorJenny? #NoJusticeNoPeace #BlackLivesMatter #sayHerName https://t.co/f6q8UkgM5W
