Ayabonga Mtwa Identified – The authorities have identified the body of a man found in the Kariega River earlier this year after his relatives were traced for nearly five months as 19-year-old Ayabonga Mtwa from Motherwell in Port Elizabeth.

According to the spokesperson, Captain Mali Govender, a relative told the detectives that Mtwa was mentally ill and had gone missing before.

His slightly decomposed body has been lying in the state mortuary since February awaiting identification.

The relatives can now lay their love one to rest, says Captain Govender.
