Best in Show and A Mighty Wind actor, Fred Willard has died. He passed away on Friday, May 15th, 2020 at the age of 86. Willard’s death was confirmed by Glenn Schwartz.
Willard’s representative, Scharwtz confirmed that the cause of his death was natural causes.
In a statement, Willard’s daughter Hope Mulbarger said
“My father passed away very peacefully last night at the fantastic age of 86 years old. He kept moving, working and making us happy until the very end. We loved him so very much! We will miss him forever.”
performed with Fred Willard: college choir (degree requirement) did a
performance with him in Philly at the Academy of Music, he was MCing. I
wish I had a chance to say hello to him, but he was funny and patient in
the rehearsals. Bon voyage.

Hartman, Fred Willard had an amazing ability to elevate the material of
anything he appeared in. Fred showing up in a scene was a guaranteed
laugh, no matter the project. I still think he and Martin Mull were a
huge highlight of the final seasons of Roseanne. #RIP
