Federal and local authorities are searching for a 12-year-old Baltimore County girl missing since Tuesday.

Baltimore County police say 12-year-old Jasmine Leighlin Baker of White Marsh was last seen leaving home at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday to walk to school. Jasmine is a sixth-grader at Perry Hall Middle School.

When Jasmine didn’t come home that day, her mother called the school only to be told that her daughter had never arrived.

Police have searched for her in her community and in the Baltimore City area. Some searches included bloodhounds.

They searched in the area around Jasmine’s home in the 4200 block of Soth Avenue, 21236; around the Perry Hall Middle school, which she attended and where she told her mother she was going when she left home around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday; around her father’s home in Baltimore City; and around all the sites mentioned by tipsters. Police have checked all the hotels in the White Marsh area and have reviewed camera footage from area businesses.

Police cannot confirm that she has had any such contact in the last few weeks.

Detectives have not noted any social media activity by Jasmine Baker since she was reported missing.
