Jozee Abitz Death – Obituary, Funeral, Cause Of Death

On 08/22/2021, at about 10:58 pm, Boone County Joint Communications received a call from a concerned subject reporting they had been unable to contact family members residing in the 7500 block of Lavender Drive, just south of Columbia.
Boone County deputies responded to the residence and once inside the home discovered two deceased residents. They are believed to be victims of homicide. The victims were identified as 43-year-old Allison Abitz and her 11-year-old daughter, identified as Jozee Abitz.
The investigation into the deaths of Allison and Jozee is ongoing, and no suspects have been arrested or charged in relation to their deaths. As this is an active and ongoing homicide investigation, no further information regarding this investigation will be released at this time.
