Lamar Gibson Death – Amid a spike in gun violence across New York City, another has gone down on Tuesday morning. The police has identified the deceased as 17-year-old Lamar Gibson who lives nearby the George Washington Houses.
Gibson was shot around 11:50 p.m on Monday amid a dispute at the George Washington Houses, near the intersection of East 102nd Street and Third Avenue, says the police.
The authorities are currently searching for three men who allegedly got out of a gray vehicle, one of them opened fire on the teen, striking him to the head.
Gibson who was initially in a critical state when rushed to a nearby hospital, but succumbed to his injuries just before 6 a.m on Tuesday, says the police.
Gibson’s shooting is now ruled as homicide.
Investigation is ongoing although a description of the suspect has not been released.
