The investigation into the man’s death was ongoing at the time of Thursday’s events. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, at approximately 11:40 a.m. on Wednesday, emergency medical services were dispatched to the 800 block of South Broadway.
On Thursday, the office of the Los Angeles County coroner revealed his name to be Francisco Orduno Mota, 68, and stated that he was a resident of Los Angeles. The office of the coroner reported that an autopsy was in the process of being scheduled. Mota was reportedly discovered “stuck at the second-floor level freight elevator opening at the rear of a six-story business building,” as stated by the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD). According to ABC7’s report, Mota was employed at the building. The probe was proceeding in its usual manner.
