Lake Sinclair Death – Investigation is ongoing by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and Putnam County Sheriff’s Office about the body found in Lake Sinclair on Thursday morning, July 30, 2020.
Authorities are yet to release further information about the victim pending his family’s notification.
According to Georgia DNR, around 7:20 a.m. Thursday, rangers helped recover a body found in the water near Twin Bridges.
The victim’s body was found about 10 feet off the shore.
The deceased man and his friends usually fish and camp in the primitive campground across the road from the Twin Bridges Marina of Oconee National Forest, says Sills.
Following investigation, foul play is not suspected in the drowning death.
His body will be taken to the crime lab for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
