Pensacola Shooting: Shooter Identified As Mohammed Alshamrani – Saudi National

Authorities have identified the Pensacola shooter in a Friday, December 6, 2019 shooting that killed at least four people and injured many.

The suspected shooter at the Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida has bee identified as Saudi national Mohammed Alshamrani.

Alshamrani was a member of the Saudi military training at US Naval Air Station in Pensacola, authorities said. He died in the shooting.

The U.S. law enforcement officials are working to determine the Saudi Air Force’s motive and whether it was connected to terrorism.

President Donald Trump in a tweet said he had talked with Saudi King Salman, who expressed “his sincere condolences” and sent sympathies to the families of those involved.

“The King said that the Saudi people are greatly angered by the barbaric actions of the shooter, and that this person in no way shape or form represents the feelings of the Saudi people who love the American people,” said Trump in a tweet.
