Prof. Malcolm Lader Death | Prof. Malcolm Lader Obituary – Drugs Research Network Scotland (@DRNScot) confirmed the death of Emeritus Professor Malcolm Lader OBE in a tweet made on the 11th of September 2020. Prof. Malcolm Lader passed away on the 7th of August 2020 after a short illness.
Prof. Malcolm Lader was a pioneering figure in psychiatry, psychopharmacology and esp. noted for his work on benzodiazepines. He began his career as an MRC scientist at the (then) Institute of Psychiatry in the early 1960s, and he stayed at the Maudsley Hospital and Institute of Psychiatry for his working life. Our thoughts are with Prof. Lader’s family, friends and colleagues.
