Rayna Novash Body Found – The body of a Pamlico County woman, identified as Rayna Novash who went missing on 18th June, 2020, was found on the county line between Craven and Jones Counties, on Friday night.
The Pamlico County Sheriff Chris Davis says an autopsy will be carried out to determine her cause of death.
According to Davis, “We are expecting the autopsy results to come back after the autopsy is completed, and the medical examiner reviews that and get that information back to us.”
Another woman, 30-year-old Elizabeth Spencer of New Bern went missing on June 16, the search is still on for her.
The area law enforcement have received information that suggests that the two women could be linked, but there is no concrete evidence to this.
Elizabeth disappeared two weeks ago and circumstances surrounding her disappearance is still under investigation.
Davis says: “We have certainly received information that suggest it could be related,” he explains. “We don’t have any concrete evidence that yes it is related, or yes we can tie them both together at this time. We are keeping our eyes and ears to the ground and any information that we get we want to be able to act on.”
He continues by saying: “There’s a lot of different things we could point our fingers at here, but I think the biggest thing is to know who you’re hanging with – know who you are around, and be aware of your surroundings.”
The public has been urged to contact the New Bern Police Department for any useful information on Elizabeth Spencer.
