World renowned boxer, Saoul Paul Mamby has passed away. He was the former WBC super lightweight champion. Saoul died December 17, 2019 at the age of 72.
He was born June 4, 1947 in South Bronx, New York to a Spanish and Jamaica decadent.
Mamby became interested in boxing while on vacation in Jamaica, he started his boxing career at age 16 in 1963 fighting in the Golden Gloves in 1965 and 1966. He compiled an amateur record of 25–5 before turning pro in 1969.
