Stolen Car Crashes – The Kailua-bound lanes of the Pali Highway were closed and later reopened around 6am due to the vehicle crash that occurred on the road in the early hours of today, 7th July, 2020.
According to the spokesperson for Emergency Medical Services, the single-vehicle accident that occurred early this morning just before 3 am.,on the hairpin turn on the Pali Highway, has killed one man about 25-year-old and left a woman about 35-year-old in a critical state.
It was confirmed that the car involved in the two-vehicle accident was a stolen car speeding on the Pali Highway. The stolen car went out of control and collided with the center median, says the Honolulu Police Department officials
The car was reported to have rolled over and four occupants of it thrown out.
The Emergency Medical Services reported that out of the four, one man was confirmed dead on scene, while the woman in a critical state was taken to the hospital.
Arrest was placed on the other two occupants for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle in the second degree.
It is not confirmed yet if drugs or alcohol were the cause of the accident.
This fatality is recorded as the 26th traffic fatality in this year compared with last year’s 30 crashes at the same time.
Investigation is ongoing.
