In line with reports, 3 more people are now in police custody for the killing of two brothers Kelton James and Kenwyn James. According to Loop News, investigators are expected to approach officials in the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for instructions on how to proceed against the three.
One man, Theron Levi Agard, has already been charged with the two murders. He has also been charged with the offences of possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, possession of a firearm with the intent to endanger lives, and possession of ammunition with the intent to endanger lives. Agard and a 26-year-old woman, were held during a police operation led by the Special Operations Response Team (SORT), less than 48 hours after the murder was recorded. The officers made their way to Petra Crescent in La Horquetta around 2 pm on June 7, where the two were detained.
According to police reports, the couple had been identified as being part of a group who was present at the scene of the homicides on June 5, and police followed their departure from Tobago the following day, and arrested them. Agard was charged, while the woman was subsequently released. Kelton James and Kenwyn James were gunned down following a confrontation with a group of men along the roadway. The killings were described as ‘deliberate’ by police, and they have intelligence that it may have stemmed from an initial confrontation the brothers had two weeks prior.
