Tiggy Hancock Death – Teen dies of shock accident during Sports training

Tiggy Hancock Death – 15-year-old teen suffers serious injuries during training exercise at Greenogue Equestrian Center.

At 2 p.m., a 15-year-old girl representing Ireland has died after suffering from a shock accident at equestrian center. The death of Tiggy was very tragical and unexpected.

Tiggy was rushed to Our Lady’s Hospital in Crumlin where she was later pronounced. Emergency services at the centre  in Tay Lane, Rathcoole put a lot of efforts to save her life but it wasn’t enough to stop death from laying on a cold hand on her. It was such a heartbreaking incident.

Tiggy’s home community of Bagenalstown Co. Carlow, has been left totally shattered and speechless  by the news of her death.

Tiggy Hancock were said to have a great talent. Speaking on her death, Edmund Kearney, a friend of the family said Tiggy had a great talent and was on “track to have a highly successful career and become a household name in equestrian sport.

Horse Sport Ireland also paid tribute to the talented youngster.

In a statement, it said: “Tiggy was well-liked among both junior and senior members of the Irish equestrian family and her passing will be mourned by all.

“The Hancock family are known throughout Ireland for their commitment to the equestrian community and those who know them will share in their grief.”

Greenogue Equestrian Centre described the young girl as a “star” horse rider, saying that the whole community is in a state of mourning.
