Tristyn Bailey Missing – Death : What Happened To Tristyn Bailey?
The body of a 13-year-old Tristyn Bailey from Florida was found after she was declared missing. Bailey was found stabbed to death, the sheriff of St. Johns County announced Tuesday.
Following the discovery of Tristyn’s body, a 14-year-old schoolmate was arrested in connection to her murder. Reports said Tristyn’s body was discovered Sunday evening in a wooded area near her home.
The parents of Tristyn had earlier reported about her missing and said that she was last seen around 1 a.m. near a recreation center in their neighborhood, Durbin Crossing, a subdivision south of Jacksonville.
Sheriff Robert Hardwick did not disclose so much about the circumstances that led to the death of Trisytyn but in few statements, Hardwick but said the girl was stabbed “more than once” and that “it was not an accident.”
An arrest report obtained by Jacksonville TV station WJAX said surveillance video from 1:45 a.m. Sunday recorded two people walking toward the end of the Durbin Crossing cul-de-sac where Tristyn’s body was later found. One of them is dressed in black clothes matching those Tristyn wore, and the other is in a light-colored hoodie and shorts.
A little more than 90 minutes later, the person in the shorts returns, walking alone and carrying a pair of shoes.
