Two Separate Shooting in Oakland Kills Two

Two separate Shooting in Oakland kills Two – Reports says that two men were shot to death in July in different areas of the city. A man found fatally shot at about 6 a.m. July 26, 2020 on a footbridge that connects the 1200 block of Lakeshore Avenue to Lake Merritt  Boulevard and goes over the Lake Merritt Channel has been identified as 22 years old Kenneth Ray Adams, a transient. There are some homeless camps in the area, but authorities have not confirmed if Adams lived at any of them. No motive has been determined yet for his killing and no arrests have been made.

The second person fatally shot at about 10:20 p.m. July 25th, 2020 at a party in a parking lot in the 200 block of Hegenberger Road was identified as Ricardo Calmo-Perez, 21, of Oakland. Authorities have not said what kind of party it was. He died after being taken to a hospital by another person. Police have not released a motive yet for the killing and have not made any arrests.
